Sunday Funnies: God Corrects the Gospel Coalition on Tim Tebow

Remember the Gospel Coalition’s passive-aggressive accusation that Denver Broncos’ quarterback Tim Tebow was a blasphemer? And how they as armchair quarterbacks, suggested maybe it was not God’s will that Tim Tebow not be a starting quarterback in the NFL?

Well, of course, God is a comedian. After today, it looks like TGC is going to be proved wrong, once more, I mean, to the glory of God.

Tim Tebow starts for the Broncos in the second half, nearly leads to a comeback.

Fare well, Kyle Orton!

  1. Jennifer says:

And one day I hope He will correct them on strong, sound women of historic caliber in places of leadership both in the world and the church.

  2. Emily says:

I believe it was CBS columnist Gregg Doyel who accused Tebow of blasphemy, not the Gospel Coalition.

    • Hey
      Emily,

Thanks for commenting. This is true, but at the original posting of the Gospel Coalition’s posting by Hansen, TGC did join in the accusation. Since then, there have been a number of edits not publicly acknowledged by the TGC. The way to tell that the TGC made edits to this particular post is to look in the comment section, and there are people who add to the accusation that Tebow is a blasphemer, that that same day, Tebow emailed Hansen (via Twitter), and that there were several comments originally accepted, then deleted.
