Waco, Texas–
Citing Texas Family Code Title 13, Chapter 280, a Baylor University law school student decided to take matters into his own hands to prevent Texas A&M University from leaving the Big 12 Conference. “I don’t want to play Boise State in the Mountain West. Imagine how ugly our Green and Gold uniforms will look up against that horrid blue turf,” claimed 24 year old James Northup. According to the Texas Family Code, because football conferences fall into the state’s definition of family, Northup argues that the move by the Texas A&M board of regents is essentially a denial of child custody. No one who represents Texas A&M could be found for comment. The case is set for trial next week; the proceedings can be seen live on the Longhorn Network.

50-48.
Congrats.
yet Baylor was more than willing to kick Rice, Houston, TCU and SMU to the curb for an opportunity to stay in the Big 12…wow
