Thanks to Truth Out, Air Force is now stopping a class taught by chaplains on Just War Theory for the use of nuclear weapons.
First of all, let me be clear here, the use of nuclear weapons is no way what so ever, is a form of limited war that Just War Theorists aim for. Nuclear bombs are about total war, perpetual war, and genocide. There is no way around this. Essentially, the state was baptizing weaponized atomic energy in the name of Jesus. Constantinianism at its very very worse. Nuclear warfare is immoral.
Not only is Air Force violating the separation of Church and State, it’s also teaching Just War Theory heretically (assuming JWT isn’t a heresy in the first place—whoops).

I guess it’s time for a serious remake of “Dr. Strangelove.” The classic version of the move (a must see for everyone) displays a warning banner at the beginning of the movie – the Air Force disavows that a Dr. Strangelove scenario could ever happen. The new remake must take account of the news.
I highly recommend Dr. Strangelove. Since I previously likened Rod to Ruby-Rhod, what’s left for him to play in Dr. Strangelove?

Rod, I agree with you. I know your post is no laughing matter. I do wonder how much (if any) the bizarre humor of “Dr. Strangelove” helped to awaken us to the fact that we really do have idiots in control? – including ourselves?

Quick question. Are you honestly going to assert that the previous implementation of this policy wasn’t at least in some part influenced by Christianity? With a straight face?
Or did I completely misunderstand this post?
Oh, it was influenced by American Christianity. I will more than admit to that. Just War Theory is blatantly a Christian doctrine. But it shouldnt even be taught as a justification for Nuclear Warfare, let alone in the Air Force Academy.
