Last week, I posted on why I believe standardized testing is outright evil. Here is a video about the scandal in Atlanta, 178 teachers & 44 schools so far caught advancing students that shouldn’t have.
Standardized testing: creates a culture of fear. No doubt after this.

I am not shocked, the school systems grade education by standardized testing, which is a joke in many instances some kids just do not perform well on tests of that nature. Sometimes I have had issues with them; I think the best means of judging a student’s performance is classroom participation. Going back to the cheating I would not be surprised if there were more doing this. Majority of the time a teacher’s jobs is on the line, that is someone’s means of providing for themselves and family is weighed in light of something that does not work well with many that are involved.
Maybe it’s about time some children be left behind?
Or perhaps its time to leave Standardized Testing behind.
