So why doesn’t China let it’s citizens read Political Jesus?

Thanks to Christian Salafia for the heads up on the story.

Along with Salafia, Joel Watts & co. , as well as those guys still looking for Jesus when they are right next to him, are some of the biblioblog sites that are banned in China.

Readers, I beg of you, please do not protest the Chinese government for this.  This is actually a badge of honor that I am relishing.

At the Great Firewall of China.org, you can find out if your blog is blocked or not.

Here are my theories why China blocked PJ:

1. It’s not because of Chad or Amanda. They are innocent bystanders. My libertarian streak threatens their status quo.

2. With all of our posts on Postcolonialism, I am pretty sure China was irritated with our anti-Empire message, you know, with them being the next likely super-power to emerge.

3. Maybe a few leaders in the Chinese government do not like science fiction, and were annoyed with all of the talk of Firefly, Doctor Who and Being Human (USA!).
