What a horrible week around the blogosphere. Christians at each other throats. Doom and gloom and the talk of evangelicalism being irreparably split into two camps. Rants, raves and insults galore.
Eric has dubbed it Mad Blog Disease and I think the name oddly fits.
So time to change the topic. Let’s talk about something that really matters. The question that is looming on every comic book geek movie fan’s mind:
Which super-hero movie will take top prize this summer?
The choices:
Captain America. The newest trailer was released this week, and oh. my. goodness. It looks really good. I will admit I was skeptical when they cast Johnny Storm as Capt, but so far I’m impressed by what I see. Added plus: Stanley Tucci is in this movie! (And you know that I’m reciting lines from Undercover Blues as I type his name).
Thor. I started out excited about this movie, especially since they have gotten Mr. Shakespeare to direct it. But compared to the new Captain America trailer, the trailer for Thor has me less excited now.
Green Lantern. I think Ryan Reynolds is awesome, but he’s Deadpool, not Green Lantern (and real Deadpool, not that abomination in the Wolverine movie). Is Ryan Reynolds too sassy to play Hal Jordan? Maybe I am too partial to David Boreanaz voicing the cartoon GL in the Justice League to be objective.
Of course, I will definitely be going to see all three. But if you had to pick one, which movie will come out on top?
My prediction:
Captain America, Green Lantern, Thor.

Thor will come out on top. Chris evans is epic fail at acting. Thor will raise more controversy because of the racists protesting it, and so the counter-protest will give it victory at the box office.
Oh, you also forgot to mention X-Men: Origins as well as Transformers 3, oh wait, we are talking about hero movies with a chance for success.
I didn’t forget to mention X-men
And what Transformers movie? lol!
X-men: first class will suck.
Green Lantern will rule over all others with a green fist. Hope springs eternal.
Craptain America will score big st the box office, a testament to American imperialist sentimentalism.
Thor will have a great opening weekend, then taper off.
Hence the reason I didn’t even bring up X-Men first class
Captain America always wins. Always.
