When it comes to any film genre, especially horror film, everyone knows that the black person is the first one to die.
In honor of Black History Month the persons at IO9 made a list of Black science fiction characters who weren’t killed off.

Ah, but did Gunn actually survive? Doesn’t Illyria call his wound a mortal wound, from which he won’t survive the night? Okay, I could geek out and point to the season 6 comic book in which he lives that is supposedly canon, but meh (and even then, he turns out to be a vampire, so obviously he died at some point).
I like the ambiguity of the season finale of the show, the Angel crew is going to fight Wolfram and Hart even if it means their inevitable defeat.
And is it really a good thing that Geordi LaForge survived when he could never get the girl? Poor Geordi.
Oh bother. hahahaha.
