Bob Cargill has an insightful post on THE Stevie Johnson and his Tweet supposedly blaming God for dropping a potential game winning pass versus the Pittsburgh Stillers (that was for you Brian).
But clearly, could we all be mistaken? Is Stevie Johnson blaming God for his dropped pass? I know nothing of SJ13′s religious affiliation, but he sounds like a Calvinist.
My theory, since God is not named, that maybe Stevie is blaming himself. “I praise you 24/7″ sounds just like an NFL wide receiver with an ego, speaking about himself in second person. Sounds Glenn Beck crazy? Well, I’m just sayin….. It could happen!

Thank God…or Johnson…or whoever. It was wonderful.
lols. oh you stillers fans.
I must say, the LORD is quite clever in how He uses Twitter to spark discussion and exploration of His character and His ways.
I actually liked S.E. Cupp’s take on the matter in her column:
http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/columnists/cupp/index.html
And of course I can’t help but call to mind these verses:
*~*
“Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.” ~ Genesis 32:28
*~*
““For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the LORD.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. ” ~ Isaiah 55:8-9
yah I read the Cupp article too. For being an atheist, she sure knows alot about the Bible.
Oh, LoL I think her self-proclaimed atheist-yet-sympathetic-to-faith is a publicity stunt and marketing ploy.
