KJ Swanson, a graduate of Mars Hill Graduate School has an amazing 3 part series on Evangelical Christianity’s uncritical embrace of Stephanie Meyer‘s Twilight series. I found it both very informative and accurate. (And yes, I have seen one of the Twilight movies, to see what Swanson said was going on). It was quite disconcerting to think about the implications of relationships between men and women, if one made adopted the logic of uncritical evangelicals who were very eager to affirm the series (yet still condemn Harry Potter–I‘m apathetic towards both for the record).
