Thirty-five times is the number of statements given today in the Elena Kagan Supreme Court nominee hearing that was meant to damage the reputation of Justice Thurgood Marshall. The first African American nominee to the Supreme Court. The first Black Solicitor General. You know, the one who time and again, went to the Supreme Court and won most of his cases, including Brown v. Board of education in 1954. I was just waiting literally for the GOP Senators to say that Brown was a mistake. Can’t wait until tomorrow. I supported (and still support the GOP’s stance against Obamacare), but this is ridiculous. No wonder I am not registered to a party. Remaining a libertarian though, but the GOP Senators’ lack of knowledge of history was just astounding.

Makes me ashamed to be a conservative. Seriously.
PS: I am fan of Elena Kagan and she’s one of the reasons why I’ve softened my views of Obama. I like Sotomayor a lot too.
Would like your thoughts on the Afghanistan/Iraq conflicts sometime soon by the way…
I sure will.
The Republicans on the committee seem dedicated to looking good for the Glenn Beck/Rush Limbaugh wing of the party.
The idiots, in other words.
Even when I was a Republican, I never would have attacked Justice Marshall. Whether I always agree with his philosophy or not, he was a good and great man.
Tearing him down now is about as smart as Rand Paul and his stance against the CRA 64.
Point well taken.
