Five TV Shows I Enjoy: Rod

Brian LePort has listed his favorite five television shows. Somebody, not pointing any fingers, actually does not own a television. Someone we know, yes, a biblioblogger. I thought asceticism was extinct? :)

Without further ado:

1.24: Jack Bauer. Need I say more?

2.The Boondocks: I have read the Boondocks comics since my sophomore year of college. The cartoon is a completely different creature, with additional characters. I have been so entertained by the cleverness of this cartoon, its irony, and critique of African American culture, I am considering a blog series on each episode for The Boondocks Season 3. :) You betcha!

3. The West Wing: A vast majority of the episodes of The West Wing were compelling, dramatic, with very good messages about the attitudes people carry in their politics and religion. Aaron Sorkin is a genuis. It was like watching the movie,The American President, being superseded over and over again.

4. The Office: Yeah, it gets a little cliche from time to time, and yeah, the TWSS gets to be tiring and overplayed. But still, it is very clever, especially their episodes about race, religion, and gender and Micheal’s obvious biases.

5. Pscych: For a while, this comedy on USA was the best bromance/detective/mystery/comedy  on T.V. until this season, in the last three episodes, it just got weird. Sean’s and Gus’s friendship scenes from the 80s are priceless though as well as Sean’s antics.

I’ve never seen a single episode of any of those shows other than The Office. I know there are a lot of 24 fans out there and I have heard good things about West Wing.

So according to Twitter, Steve Carrell has left “The Office” –well no he hasn’t, because he’s in MINE!

I kid you not. On the 6th floor of the building I work in: Julianne Moore, Steve Carrell, and someone who’s name I forgot have been filming something for the past few days. The set apparently takes up half the floor. There have been crew people in the elevators, but no I have not seen any of the “stars.”

I’ve watched an episode or two of The Office and I …just don’t get it. To each their own I guess.

Okay I’m done invading your blog comments boxes. For now anyway. :)

  4. Bauer is awesome, I really hope they should hurry up with the final film if they’re going to get on with it!
