The Tim Tebow Declaration

Since I am no longer having second thoughts about the Manhattan Declaration, I have decided to type my own Declaration, inspired by Tim Tebow, oh, and of course the Gospel. If you wish to sign this, now known as the Tim Tebow Declaration, you can either place a link here from your blog or comment on this post.

“I affirm the Incarnation of the Word of of the LORD.  The Wisdom and Word of God who became flesh in the fetus inside the womb of the Virgin Mary.  I affirm the creative power of the God of Israel who is the Spirit of Life, who interacts and is interwoven in everything that exists.  Therefore, I agree with the principle that all of human life is equal and is of infinite value to God, because of God’s sovereignty over and love for creation.  From the infant conceived in the womb, to the homeless child in Haiti, to the person sentenced to death row, Christians, of all positions, whether they are celebrity, pastor, layperson, or neophyte, should fight against the culture of death because God has spoken life through the Word in the Incarnation. May we listen to God the Father in the struggle for justice and life, through the grace of Jesus Christ our LORD and in unity and by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Truth and Peace,

Rod
