-God controls history through His Word spoken through PROPHETS, who take a stand for what is right.
-God as Love means God COMMUNICATES, COVENANTS, and CHOOSES whomever God wills to accomplish God’s reconciliatory mission in the world.
-God as Righteousness means God is always right (WRATHFUL), RESTORES us to who God has called us to be, and REDEEMS us from sin and oppression.

Exodus 19:3-6
We know the Bible tells us that the Israelites are God’s people. God tells Moses that “Jacob’s” very existence is for the sake of living as a holy people, a nation of priests. Israel has been redeemed by God for the single purpose of being God’s priests; they are His. Because YHWH OWNS the Hebrews, He requires them to respond in worship and praise and obedience.

1st Peter 2:9-12; Romans 12:1-2
Israel is set apart from other nations. Their mission is from heaven and not of this world. Christians are called to act not in accordance with the prevailing culture but to live consistently in God’s Word through the power of the Holy spirit. Nonconformity in the name of Christ is better than conformity for the sake of the world, which is dominated by sin and death. BEING ODD IS WHAT GOD CALLS US TO BE!
OBEDIENT!
Jeremiah 33:13-25
The prophet Jeremiah preaches that Israel’s future lies in OBEDIENT leadership (Jeremiah 23:6, 33:22). Jeremiah is preaching against the doubters and the outsiders during his time who keep saying that God has forsaken Israel, that there is no hope. The naysayers are rebuked by the Word of the LORD. Justice will triumph over injustice, because Justice is God’s intention because the LORD is righteous.
